Richtgraad 2

Met de opleiding Richtgraad 2 leer je een beperkte talige zelfstandigheid aan. In de Europese context komt richtgraad 2 overeen met het niveau Threshold. Je voelt je wel nog beperkt in je communicatie met taal. Je taalgebruik is economisch in die zin dat je je communicatie moet aanpassen aan de middelen waarover je beschikt. Een volledige autonomie in de vreemde taal verwerf je in het daaropvolgende niveau. Na de opleiding Threshold kan je de hoofdzaken begrijpen van vertrouwde onderwerpen die geregeld opduiken in onder meer je werksituatie of in je school en je ontspanningsleven. De voorwaarde is wel dat de onderwerpen in klare standaardtaal zijn geformuleerd. Je kan je ook uit de slag trekken in de meeste situaties die zich voordoen bij het reizen in een land waar de taal die je aan het leren bent wordt gesproken. Je bent ook in staat een eenvoudige en samenhangende tekst te produceren met betrekking tot onderwerpen die je vertrouwd zijn of die tot je persoonlijke interessesfeer behoren. Bovendien kan je ervaringen en gebeurtenissen, dromen, hoop en ambities beschrijven en kan je bondig redenen en verklaringen geven voor je plannen en opvattingen.

The program 'Objective 2' allows you to acquire a limited degree of linguistic independence. In the European context, 'Objective 2' equals the level 'Threshold'. Please note that you will still feel constrained in your linguistic communication. You will use language economically, in the sense that you have to adjust what you are saying to the linguistic tools at your disposal. It is only on the next level that you will become fully independent in the foreign language. Once you have completed 'Threshold', you will understand the key points relating to familiar subjects as they crop up on the job, at school, or in your free time. In order for this understanding to come about, these subjects must be discussed clearly and sentences must be formulated in the standard language. You will also be able to get by in most of the situations that will arise when you travel to a country where the language you are learning is spoken. You will also be capable of producing a coherent text about subjects with which you are familiar or which relate to your personal interests. Moreover, you will be able to describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and it will also be possible to briefly motivate and explain your plans and opinions.
